About Crate Media
Sailing Ship

Small, Nimble & Hopelessly Creative. That's how we started out and it's still true today (although we are growing and wouldn't fit quite as comfortably into our original offices). As a media company, we focus on web development, video production, print design, branding, and creative concepts, providing one integrated media workflow. Think of us as your own personal PR department.

Quality
We are known for our consistently, let's just say it, "awesome" design. Our clients are our best promoters and our work is our best advertising campaign. We, like you, would rather do business with companies that provide personal service and we gladly pay a bit extra because the end result always reflects that personal attention. In the same way we are committed to providing personal one-on-one interaction with each client. We try to keep costs down and we can often help clients find ways to be more efficient, but good service is non-negotiable. We don't believe in assembly-line designs. We're artists and we know that making you look good makes us look good, too.

Our Name
When we started the business in 2002 we knew we'd be pretty mobile for a few years, crates are used for shipping, voilą. Plus it was during a time when everyone was trying to name their companies cutely absurd names like "Red Asparagus", we wanted something a little more simple and dignified. And it needed to be original with a short, available domain name, that's no easy task. That seems so stiff now, but fortunately, since then it's taken on a life of its own. The ship logo was a natural companion since our founder, loves tall ships and world travel. And it's looks pretty cool too.

Character & Calling
Crate Media is currently in a critical growing stage but it's our hope that as we become more profitable as a company we can generously increase the ways we are able to volunteer our time and donate our money to support important humanitarian projects in our local community and around the world. This is the driving motivation behind our character as a company. To survive as a business it's important that we provide top quality service. But we want our business to do more than survive, we want to make a difference in the world and we hope that we can convince other companies to join us in this responsibility.
