When do I need to pay my bill?

Crate Media recently performed some work for us, and I received an invoice in the mail. So when is my payment due?

The invoice lists the terms of payment at the top. You are required to send a check to the remittance address or authorize payment by credit card within the time listed. Usually this is 30 days from the date of the invoice. This means that if you wait for the whole 30 days, it takes up to 2 months for us to get paid, from the time the work was performed to the time you paid. Please note, that if payment is not received within the terms, you will incur finance charges, as a means to motivate you. Our contract also states that you authorize us to bill your credit card if we have not received payment within the terms. 

We realize this may seem strict, but for years we have been very relaxed about payment and it has just caused problems for everyone. So we have instituted this policy, in order to remove the emotion from the process, so that we can ensure that we are able to pay our employees for their time and be consistent and fair to everyone. This benefits our clients by allowing us to keep qualified employees on staff. And it really is not unreasonable to expect our clients to pay their bills on time. We are sure you understand.
